Everything you need to know about our outings — who they're for, what's included, and how to join us in the Rockies.

Who It's For

Our outings are designed for adults 60+ who:

  • Seek more movement, variety, connection, and time in nature
  • Want to increase physical activity (hikes, nature walks, places of interest)
  • Are curious and open to new experiences
  • Value good company and meaningful conversations in a small group
  • Feel comfortable in group outings
  • Can get to the meeting point in Calgary
  • Are looking for affordable, accessible nature and cultural outings

No experience required — just a willingness to try something new!

What's Included

  • A detailed itineraryso you know what we're doing, where we're going, and when coffee happens.
  • Transportation from Calgarycar or minivan, depending on the size of our adventure crew.
  • Experienced leader supportand certified guides when the adventure calls for one.
  • First Aid-certified leaders + safety gearfirst aid kit and satellite communication on every trip.
  • Insured & police-checked leaders and guidesbecause you deserve to know who you're adventuring with.
  • Interesting stops along the waymuseums, historic sites, cafés, art galleries, and whatever else makes the day more interesting.
  • Themed group conversationsbecause a good outing should give you something to talk about afterward, too.

Not Included

Trip cost varies by duration. Participants are responsible for:

Entry tickets to museums, galleries, or other attractions (unless specified)
Meals purchased at cafes or restaurants

Participant Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

  • Stay with the group throughout the trip
  • If you have any concerns or issues, contact your trip leader immediately
  • Trip leaders are responsible for safety and guidance — please follow their instructions
  • Report any incidents or injuries
  • Be mindful of other participants' whereabouts
  • Wait at all trail or road intersections until the group is together
  • Take care of yourself: stay hydrated, snack as needed, monitor how you feel
  • If you need to step away from the group, notify your leader
  • Please leave children, grandchildren, and pets at home — this time is just for you!

What to Wear

  • Comfortable shoes with good soles
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are best)
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
  • Rain jacket or windbreaker if rain is forecasted
  • Gloves and warm clothing for cooler days

Weather can change throughout the day — be prepared. We send a packing list tailored to your specific trip.

Requirements

  • A positive attitude and willingness to engage with new people
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear
  • Your own food and water (we provide snacks for the ride)
  • Ability to get to the designated meeting point (or request home pickup in advance)
  • A short questionnaire to ensure the trip is a good fit
  • Signed waiver acknowledging risks
